"More than nine in ten (91%) 11- to 16-year-olds say that a good teacher respects students, listens and is fair. Other important qualities are having a lively personality (78%), knowing their subject (78%) and enthusiasm (77%). Of least importance are being young/not old (36%), setting challenging tasks (39%) and getting good exam results (46%)."

Girlguiding UK’s comprehensive study of the views and opinions of girls aged 7-21 across the UK.
The survey looks at girls’ attitudes on five themes:
- family and relationships
- society, culture and community
- health and wellbeing
- education, training, skills and careers
